Reference sequence is blinking on selecting with scrolling in the reference area in MCA Editor

Scenario to reproduce:

1. Open an MCA.
2. Click and hold with a mouse button somewhere on the reference area.
3. Move the mouse cursor with the hold mouse button to the right to begin scrolling and selecting.
   Current state: the reference sequence is blinking a bit on the edges. There is something wrong with visual area defining.
