Based on a user's story:
"I need to find in genome regions N of any length. I input N+ as a pattern. It starts a task but it shows 0% for 10 minutes. I think for a 2MB genome it should be very fast."
Optimize regular expression search. It must find a subsequence in a 2MB sequence (or in human_t1) in terms of minutes or even seconds.
If the optimization takes a lot of time, as a fast-fix, remove this feature from UGENE because it causes only user questions or irritations. BUT create another issue of feature type that returns this powerful feature back.
