Columns in Alignment Editor are selected not interactively if Shift is held

Scenario

1. Open an alignment.
2. Click on any column in the Consensus Area.
3. Press and hold the Shift key.
4. Click and hold the mouse button on another column.
5. Move the mouse cursor to the any other column.
   Expected state: selection is updated every time mouse cursor changes the column.
   Current state: selection is updated only after you release the mouse button. But the selection is correct.
