Pressing Delete twice when the last column is selected in an alignment

Scenario:

1. Open "_common_data/scenarios/msa/ma2_gapped.aln".
2. Select the last column and press the Delete key.
   Expected result: the last column is removed, the new last column is selected.
   Actual result: nothing is selected.
3. Press the Delete key again.
   Expected result: the last column is removed the new last column is selected.
