The problem is discovered on Windows 10. See http://ugene.net/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1586416429.
Double-clicking on a file of supported format (e.g. FASTA) or a UGENE project file does not open the data in UGENE successfully. Instead an error occurs: sometimes the project file is opened as a text file, sometimes there are errors such as "Failed to detect file format" and the truncated path is specified.
It is not clear exactly, what error happens when, however, the issue is connected with parsing of paths with space characters on Windows 10.
It was noticed also that paths are sometimes shown in 8+3 format (see the attached screenshot).
