Major Alignment editor has a very attractive selection behavior: the selection frame during mouse moving, the dashed frame of selected sequence and the selection has slightly different color (see attachments).
From the other hand, Sanger Reads Editor (which is pretty the same, because both these views has a common ancestor), doesn't have such a convenient way to show selection - it doesn't have a selection frame in case of mouse moving, doesn't have a frame and highlighting.
If this issue I made a Sanger selection much more as AE selection.
