This feature is a user request. It is required for a common scenario of validating chromotogram data. Approximate description of the scenario is the foolowing: there is an old sequence and a newly sequenced one with chromotogram data. Both sequences are opened in the Alignment Editor. Most parts of the sequences are the same, but there are some "mutations" in some locations. The locations should be verified and compared with the chromotogram data. Therefore it should be possible to navigate fast to these locations.
Note: there are similar views in the Vector NTI.
Note: as soon as this feature is complete, it should be documentated as a separate quick-guide (or a "seminar") with the help of the user who requested the feature.
1) Create a new subview in the Alignment Editor that will allow a user to navigate in the whole alignment. It should be like the consensus with the maximized zoom. See also a similar overview in the Assembly Browser. A user must be able to navigate to the corresponding location by clicing on this overview.
2) Allow a user to show/hide this subview as well as consensus subview.
In future it would be great if the Alignment Editor could be opened preconfigured for this task. For example, if UGENE-2057 is implemented, the link for the task could be added there.
