It is now possible to exclude a region when searching for restriction sites, but it is not enough. It must be possible to set up two parameters, for example, as in Vector NTI.
It has parameters:
- "Ignore RENs Cutting Outside Region" causes only those enzymes with sites inside the region to be displayed.
- "Ignore RENs Cutting Inside Region" causes only those enzymes with sites outside the region to be displayed.
(see screenshots of the dialog and a drawing, that described the parameters meaning).
As shown on the drawing, it must be possible to specify the regions that intersects the sequence start position.
Parameters in UGENE can be called, e.g. as follows:
- Search in region: with the start/end coordinate.
- Additionally exclude region: the the start/end coordinate.
There is no need in the combo-box "Whole sequence"/"Custom region".
