Minor Would be nice to be able to create a maximum parsimony tree.
I am not a programmer, but my best guess is to use the external-tools plugin and interface it with some command line utility, like
phylip ( http://www.info.univ-angers.fr/~gh/Idas/Wphylog/biosoft/phylip.htm ), which should be FOSS but I can't find the license,
or IQTree ( https://github.com/Cibiv/IQ-TREE ), which has a GPL v.2 license, so it shouldn't be a problem.
