Currently the collapsing of rows is partially supported when a tree view for an alignment has been added in the Alignment Editor. The problem is that the logic of the collapsing is not clear and there are multiple error. For example, synchronization of rows between the alignment and the tree is not taken into account. Nothing happens when a root node of the tree is collapsed. Sometimes collapsing behavior is incorrect when a tree node is collapsed.
This feature either needs to be excluded for 1.12 release or all the cases must be specified, corrected and tested.
Note that collapsing mode behavior was modified in UGENE-1600, but the collapsing mode for trees didn't work properly before these modifications.
